Collection Methodology
We crowdsource our data from a network of 25,000+ verified and active brokers, appraisers, and researchers across the US. Our members submit lease and sales comps through CompStak Exchange, where they trade the comps they have to get the comps they need for free. Through crowd-sourcing, we’re able to receive each unique comp from an average of five different members. The sheer size and redundancy of the data we receive enables us to identify errors and correct omissions more reliably than any other source. We employ an automated, manual, and community review process to verify the data: machine learning regression and classification algorithms, manual analyst review, and broker/appraiser community review.
