SignalFrame collects first-party wireless signal data via SDK deployments. We crowd-source data collection through partner mobile apps, turning millions of enabled smartphones into a global signal-gathering network that continuously expands and refreshes our dataset. Each signal gives clues about its origin. The signal name (SSID) and unique identifier (MAC) emitted by a device or router reveal the business or product (make and model), allowing SignalFrame to generate accurate business insights via 10+ thousand device types.
Skewed towards the US, but other countries are available (Brazil, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Turkey, etc. as some examples). We lack coverage in EU and China (no EU data at all, very little data in China).
we provide the historical data for every day within the last 1.5 years
Real Time or Daily available but this increases the price of our offering. Weekly is the most commonly purchased cadence with monthly also available.
Brand adoption and product replacement. New product release and pertaining market affects. Using WiFi, Bluetooth, and BLE signals emitted from thousands of products, venues, and brands, SignalFrame determines when and where new things appear in the world. We see a new car drive off the lot, early adoption of a product in specific markets, or a business opening and turning on its WiFi. We are able to provide extensive product coverage due to the expansive list of Bluetooth/Wifi enabled devices generating signals that SignalFrame is able to pick up on: Examples include but are not limited to wearables, automobiles, streaming media players, appliances, electronics, medical devices, and many other device types.
Data is skewed to the US.
Device make and model, geographic location
Anything that generates a Bluetooth/WiFi signal. Some devices emit better signals than others (ex: BMW uses a legacy version of Bluetooth which doesn’t broadcast itself as well or as regularly).
